The shape is very important. Some just make shitty pipes. The price matters cuz a) I pay for this shit and am not made of money but anything around $150 and under I'd buy. B) Magic. The price has some magical associations. A bottle at $77 is just going to be better than one at $89 or $64.50. it's just true.

I wondering if for the smaller pipes if I should go with a fixed stem and choke or have a bowl slide.
One thing to consider is that the smaller ones are easily carried. Taking portability into account I would think a choke would be best. Just less shit to lose, break or fuck with. But the slide is modular, different bowls, also costlier for glass if I'm handing out ready to use stuff.
Now if I go that route I need to think about placement of the hole.
Ergonomics.
I prefer the convenience of a pipe.
