My problem was allowing myself to get comfortable with that tinychat room and befriending only to realize that was most likely a bad idea. I only did so because most of you are too young to associate with what happened and I was friends with totse members (not close personal but virtual friendship).
So nothing I say seems to matter now. But I never deviated from what I've said before. It was real. Also seeing a few conversations on SpectraL emulated dial-up BBS, I have seen conversations and I have off saved them showing he most likely was a member of several NirvanaNet related boards. So I believe he does in fact have copies of the manifesto posts and threads from that year in 2001. Before that I figured he was just trolling the fact.
Clearly you were not on totse.com that year, G. And if you were it doesn't mean you witnessed it. Though I will say it stood out from the rest. The topic header was like Neon ice blue over black text or some other color theme that non of the others had. Which means either a ubb code was used somehow or one of the Admins highlighted it.
That caught most people's attention. To me it came off as a "Were terrorist- AMA" thing. Several other story theme threads were going on. John Titor was one. That one however was being posted all over the place on other Boards. And there was talk of this same manifesto thread posted on cDc Beto O'Roarke was one of 40 only members allowed to post on it.. So if true. Then the terrorist had access to post while the rest of the internet world could only read their posts.
Lastly an interesting think to note is Jeff aka enigma had made a special port in the menu to link to cDc (Cult Dead Cow) but none of the NirvavaNet boards had one. And Jeff's ID address for slashnet or nirvana net ice was .moo -

Not that i was a part of it, but i am familiar with some of the history. Thinking of this just triggered a memory about a group called Chaos Computer Club. Old skool. They went on to bigger and better things.

The original Totse, the version before the WWW, was a pure phreaking community, respected far and wide for our clever antics and unusual ideals. Everything else was an added bonus.
