did you and a few of your girlfriends and guy friends at times huff it (meaning lots of walking) because someone couldn't get their parents cars or their car lacked gas money. If your Mom or Dad told you to call home you had to find a phone bank or phone booth to do so. you had like a one hour window to find one. so sometimes it was like a scavenger hunt finding one that wasn't torn off its cord or the phone and cradle just missing.

Oh gosh yes. My Dad made sure that I had a dime or quarter for a phone call. And yes, we walked everywhere. I’m glad I had those experiences.

    Yep. Hoof'n n-a Huff'n

its too easy for young people to own their own cars today.

but then again a lot of them don't drive anymore or know how to, they just take ubers.

still "It's 10 O'Clock, do you know where your kids are" an old advertisement brought back because of the "Just say no to drugs" Reagan years.

didn't stop people I knew from using them. low life mofo's

and now for something completely different!

I have talked with young people who take ubers when I drove for them (because I dont anymore)

its true. and to parents. Maybe not in the country like out in Iowa. but in heavy populated cities here in California it is fact. it was a "Right of Passage" (I believe that term applies) to grow up and own a car for independence but with AI cars coming into the game and Gig worker drivers, a lot of teens just uber everywhere on their parents account they created for their kids.

I did say "Then again" which means there is a bit of truth to both that apply.

Honestly smartphones are the Nexus for computing technology, it is quite amazing how much we can reduce to fit into a plastic bar of soap in your pocket.

I just bought a desktop computer with 2 usb, 1 Ethernet, Bluetooth, 4k graphic video software and it's 1/3 the width of an iphone. 4 times thicker but it's 12 gigs of ram and renders really fast.

Only 128 gig internal But I have a mini 2T hdd connected
