   Could be an enclosed order. If so then I don't think they leave the cloister much or at all. It all depends on the policies of the convent. There are no hard and fast rules.
   
   I bet that enclosed orders get really weird, a bunch of people reading and reciting Jesus fan-fiction all day, worrying about eternal judgement, not leaving the grounds, no visitors and not much communication. Plus you have to figure anyone who decides to segregate themselves from the world is going to be either weird or mentally ill anyway, so it's probably like a complete loony-bin behind closed doors.
