a director found some of the most prolific executioners and offered to help them make a movie about their killings; the whole thing is their stories and re-enactments of what they've done. it's hard to watch, especially because it's almost 3 hours long. I'm about 2 hours in.

I found out about it reading reports on those recently-released diplomatic documents showing the UK both encouraged and orchestrated it to some degree, even knowing that most of the people targeted weren't communists, just ethnic chinese

that movie is fucked. it takes an interesting turn towards the end

I'm definitely gonna give it a watch, you sold me at least. Always looking for a good ass film to watch. I'm going to watch The Thing in 4K tonight, my GF has never watched it so it will be fun spookin'.
Although I don't think my girlfriend will be into this one so I'll watch it alone.

Know that feel on never finishing anything writing wise btw. I love writing new premises, then I get bored with writing details and shit. I need someone to throw a subject at me and I can go off.
I realized this a few weeks ago: I think I am way too practiced at writing in forums and not on my own. 90% of my writing is forums. I do longposts where I put in an inordinate amount of effort for my own sake, just because I like to write. But the structure of arguing with some idiot in the internet is what supplies most of the direction for my creative motivations.
When I try to write something for myself, I struggle to not write like I'm arguing with a cloud or some shit.
