I just like that you can essentially make any machine you want. All machines are the application of some combination of the 6 simple machines: pulley, lever, wheel-and-axle, wedge/inclined plane and the screw. All available to combine any way you'd like.
Very fun for tinkering with. I am planning to make a Lego section of my gaming/computer room.

The basic Mechanic info film is neat. at 4mins those sproket or gears had to be diecasted by hand. now they micro size that and printers print them on tiny stamps. or by now print a micron size processor.
