The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where feed and seed both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Feeduck and Seeduck".

Southwest flies point to point to point...rather than from a central hub, apparently that's the main problem as their planes end up all over the place.

My god YOU people are autistic sometimes...
I wasn't actually suggesting ALL their planes would end up in Alaska...it's called "exaggeration for effect"..a relatively common way to dumb down and explain something to someone as simply as possible.
The point is without a central hub and a return to hub schedule...scheduling actual aircraft can only be done on a short term basis.
Southwest fly from city to city get assigned a new job..fly there, get assigned a new job...fly there...etc...you have no clear plan of where X plane will be 6 months from now.
Having your inventory regularly returning to a central hub gives you better control of your schedule and what inventory (of aircraft) you have available.
...rather than "oh what planes do we have near Buffalo?".

Enterprise rent-a-car could use a hub system, the last 3 times I've used them they've told me they don't have any cars for rental...WTF, your business is renting cars and you don't fucking have any...3 times in a row!?
