Taking a couple of historical events and creating a 90-100% fabricated story around it doesn't mean it's a true story.
Even the fucking title is wrong! in "real life" the name "Brave Heart" was attributed to Robert the Bruce, NOT William Wallace
I bet you think his other movie The Patriot is also historically accurate.
Braveheart and The Patriot are THE SAME MOVIE with different costumes

I haven't even seen the movie.
However show me the real life transcript of everything said in the movie...or could the dialog be...fabricated? -

It only makes sense, even in the influential book Art of War by General Tso Tziqen it is said "if you can form an overwhelming force to ensure victory, you must do so".
America could easily have made deals with several tribes to implement a broader framework of government for Afghanistan as a whole but instead tried to implement the CIA standard parliamentary democracy that never got no tribal support.
Afghanistan could easily have been a strong US satellite by now. -

Coulda woulda shoulda...
The British Empire wasn't built on "coulda woulda shoulda"
We conquered, we commanded, we stripped them of their resources and dignity.
REAL man action. -

Ah, if only one of their bombs would have exploded nearer to the Queen... -

Not at all. Your crown did that, to which you bow i.e. the first people that were conquered were... You.
And you remain the last of the subjugates.
