Who is bragging? that's your perception of what I'm doing ;)...again 1.6 mil after 40yrs isn't anything to brag about...is it? It's not like I have access to it till I'm 65 anyway (by which time it will be over 2 mil all being well).
I'll tell my Compaq story again.
When I, along with the 300 other people in the Comaq Aerro department got laid off in 2003 I was talking to one of the forklift drivers who was about 50 and asked him what he was going to do for work...he said "I'm gonna retire, I've got 1.5 mil between my 401k and Compaq stocks.
He was getting paid about $12hr but had that amount in mainly Compaq stock..which had split multiple times while he'd work there.
Had anther buddy who's employee number was below 70 (Mine was above 73,000). He'd been with them since Compaq had pretty much started but was still only working a lowly job because he was like that.
Anyway at first they had paid him bonuses in stocks and stock options...which he had sold immediately after getting them for the few thousand they were worth back then.
We sat down one day and worked out what his stocks would have been worth if he'd kept them all...the figure came out to be in the low 30 millions...he started crying. -

Sorry to hear you are in that situation. Me, I have access to my shit now not 6 years from now. Not to mention what is still maturing. See I didn't slave for others and scrimp my whole life to have crumbs on my deathbed. I took chances and risks many of which payed off well. I hustled where and when opportunities exposed themselves. Never worked for any one employer fro more than 18 months I used them to gain capital for my ventures not to produce capital for theirs.

"work smarter not harder"...a mantra I've always lived by and should be evident from my prolific posting during the hours of 7-4..for the last 20+ years.
Working for yourself is USUALLY much harder and time consuming that working for others...at least all the people I know with their own businesses...they are working 24/7 if not physically, then mentally.
No thanks, I'll take the easy route to comfort. -

this is another reason I asked specificaly for Lexapro because it makes me not give a fuck. when Im off of it or any other shitty SSRI, I'm shaking with a mimic of a Parkinson disease or im thinking something really fucked up is going to happen followed by something weird and fucked up happening.
in some cases guessing or sensing the exact thing to happen. I honestly told Gigi "Were going to have a big earthquake tonight" and we went to bed and the Napa quake (6.0) shook so hard the wall was hitting me in the head because we have no headboard. I woke up laughing my ass off though. asked the doctor to put me back on Lexapro. Pristique is a weirdo drug that makes a person shake and the ability to see something weird about to happen.
