2021-10-05 at 3:38 AM UTCI saw him at a local comedy club in Ohio back in the early 80's when he was relatively unknown and mostly still playing clubs in Ottawa. It was a hilarious show and recall leaving it thinking this guy should be on SNL.

It's crazy he had so big a body of work knowing he's going to die soon, talking about death constantly. He has certainly replaced Bill hicks as the terminal no fucks given comedian
Also I read an article about how apparently he was gropey with comedy club waitresses and everything was pretty tame. Fuck these people, that article was terrible and he will forever remain a king, not a jester -
2021-10-05 at 3:14 PM UTCThis interview is hauntingly funny, I think he probably knew he had cancer for a fair bit longer than 9 years.

2021-10-05 at 3:20 PM UTCI heard it long before he died and I thought he was just being a jokester doing a depressed thing to throw the show off kilter as opposed to what you would expect Norm to do.
Hearing it after his death is a strange experience. Cuz if you heard enough of Norm and came back to listen to this in retrospect, he was probably being earnest but just funny about it. -

It was clear looking at him he was sick, not old. But he never told anyone -

That bitch is insufferable. There are a few other times he's been on their show and she just doesn't understand Norm's humor whatsoever. Particularly the one where he talks about how teachers aren't really heros, she just can't fathom what his point is. And another one where he brings up in general that black people don't make as much as money as white people- she thinks that's a horrible thing to say. I HATE HER. lol -

It's clear she doesn't get anything he was doing at all ("black people are generally poor and poor people are generally violent") but it seems like Norm liked going on the show enough to do multiple appearances so hey, who the fuck am I to say? -

Yeah that's true he did appear several times. Maybe just to 'keep up appearances, that whole charade.' I think he kinda like fucking with her the same way he did with those yammering bitches on The View. :) -
