If only you were as good @ playing the reality survival game called life, but I digress. -

I really wish I could do a better job working on my car.
I went to school for a mechanic trade and use to be pretty damn okay at it.
Now im old and my back starts to hurt so I just crank every bolt to the max, wrap it in duct tape and call it good.
If the fluid is burnt smelling or has shavings in it just leave it. -

He's not trolling. He's just stick in this weird limbo state where life sucks enough for him to dislike it all the time and complain, but not enough for him to take drastic action and temporarily give up what little he has.
In a way I was very lucky before I got into computers. I couldn't even get full time jobs at factories etc like Fona. So it was very much sink or swim, no treading water. -
2021-09-22 at 10:05 PM UTCOf course none of you could EVER do anything wrong but everything fonaplats does is JUST HORRIBLE OMG HOW CAN YOU LIVE LIKE THIS?!
bunch of self importants on your high horse picking on poor fona. You should be ashamed. Does it make you feel good to kick someone while they're down? -

I admit shit I've done wrong all the time. And people give me the above routine here all the time.
A lot people hate it when people bitch but don't fix though. Bitchin + Fixin is all good in my books. -

If what you say holds true for him the only thing he hasnt done is got mad enough to do something about his situation.
I can relate somewhat to his situation but it was a few years ago. A quote I read a few years back really put my life in prospective and Ill never forget it because I still tell myself this same quote these days. "Either pay now or pay later."
I was "paying later" for not pursuing the career i wanted when I was younger. I should have "paid now" when I was younger and put 100% of my effort into getting where I wanted to be, but instead I was having too much fun living for the moment. Riding motorcycle way too much with a big group, slammin a bunch of skanks, goin to bars 3 or 4 nights a week, doin yayo, and generally just hanging out with a bad crowd of ruthless fuckers that had no future. But hey it was fun at the time I guess.
Then I went and got my bachelors degree, got a couple of different mid level management positions over the course of about 4 years and then told myself for months at these jobs, do you want to be doing this in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years? After some of the same shit at work kept happening over and over I got pissed off enough to do something about it like a man.
At what point are you going to get pissed off enough to make some big changes? -
2021-09-23 at 1:25 AM UTCWorking a shit job in America seems pretty chill. He has a house to himself, comfortable furniture, multiple computers, a car etc.
If that was the case for me in NZ I probably wouldn't have felt the need to get a career. -
2021-09-23 at 2:14 AM UTCIt has just been a busy couple days for me.
I keep waking up from sleep thinking I have overslept and am so tired that I don't even check to see if I have or not.
Luckily I have not but I am short on time and will need to rush out the door tonight.
Tonight I will start making OT money after 7 hours.
Then all day tomorrow will also be overtime money.
Im trying to get ahead and yes Cigaretting has a great point "pay now or pay later"
That is something I must consider. -

2021-09-23 at 5:47 AM UTC"To "live within your means" means that what you spend each month is less than or at least equal to the amount of money you bring in each month. For many people, it's a lot easier said than done. Credit cards, loans, savings, and even emergency funds allow you to buy more things than your income would ordinarily allow."
