It's generally an unspoken rule that when you owe a penny they don't take it. Stores used to have a penny plate for such dealings.

2021-09-15 at 6:20 PM UTCWhy do you live so far from your workplace? Most articles I've read state that most people prefer a 20 minutes or so commute with 30 minutes really pushing it.
You spend 80 minutes a day commuting. That's 400 minutes a week times an arbitrary 50 weeks/year = 20,000 commuting minutes/year which breaks down to 333 1/3 hrs./year commuting or 41 2/3 eight hour days commuting every year.
Or, you spend 1 1/3 hr./day commuting x 250 work days/year (5 days/week x 50 weeks) = 333 1/3 hrs. commuting, etc. -
