Yeah, I think that's most people's motivation. I was guilty of the same back on sanc and rdfrn. The upside is, based on usage data, a lot more people use latest threads than browsing actual forum indices so as long as you're not posting in the trash forum you'll get roughly the same exposure. Bumping a thread with no replies yet is fine within reason. -

Now, I know this opinion is not popular, but it is the truth. TheDarkRodent's account should have been deleted as a spambot and his entire IP subset banned. If he came back under another account, that one should be banned as well. It ain't hard math. Really, it isn't.

I don't spam the same graphic across the entire forum, like spambots like Rodent do. People "like me" always bring at least something to the thread, unlike spammers like Rodent, who bring absolutely nothing. It'll be tough because the inmates have run the asylum for far too long now and a lot of people don't react well to change. Heck, one of the most recognizable slogans around here is "no mods no managers." One thing that will be tough to manage is that you don't have any solid posting guidelines, or at least clear guidelines on what is unacceptable. Some people need that structure. We'll see how things progress.

I like the vague structure, and Lanny does a pretty good job of managing things. The main issue appears to be topicality, which isn't ridiculously hard to enforce. Heck, I'll even make the sacrifice and volunteer as co-admin if Lanny needs help (#^.^#) -

Why the fuck would I do that? Would you plant a rose in a shitheap? You ain't gonna smell the flower over the shit smell anyways, so why bother?
