Can someone give me a solid recipe for cooking crack in a spoon ? I mean I get the just 1 part baking soda one part coke and heat till water dissolved and smoke the remaindingnsolids? Am I missing something?

Baking soda converts to the carbonate from bicarbonate pretty easily with heating.
Baking soda has a low melting point, so heat it until it stops being soft. Once it no longer melts easily or stays molten, you have carbonate or mostly carbonate.
