A police captain who refused the vaccine and took the anti-parasitic ivermectin to combat COVID-19 dies from the virus
    ashoaib@insider.com (Alia Shoaib)

An anti-vaxx police officer has died in Georgia after a short battle with COVID-19.

Captain Joe Manning posted anti-vaxx messages on Facebook and took the drug ivermectin.

The CDC has said ivermectin does not help prevent or treat coronavirus and can cause severe illness.

A Georgia police officer who frequently posted anti-vaxx messages on Facebook and took an anti-parasitic drug instead of a vaccine has died of COVID-19.

Captain Joe Manning, 57, of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office died on Wednesday after a short battle with the virus, according to local news station WSAV.

Sheriff Chuck Moseley said, "Captain Manning was an integral part of our family and our hearts are broken. Our love and prayers go forward to his family," according to WSAV."

After the announcement of his death, Facebook posts made by Manning circulated on social media.

In one post, Manning shared an image that said" "I am not vaccinated by choice and that's my right."

In another, Manning encouraged people to stock up on the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin, frequently used to deworm horses, and increasingly being taken by people in a misguided attempt to treat or prevent COVID-19.

"OK Folks Wayne Feed and Seed has some liquid and paste Ivermectin get it while supplies last," Manning wrote on Facebook.

Manning also wrote on Facebook that he had taken ivermectin himself, and criticized Facebook for disciplining him for spreading misinformation, The Independent reported.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said the drug does not help prevent or treat coronavirus, and this week issued a health advisory detailing an increase in severe illness caused by taking ivermectin.

Calls to US poison control centers about ivermectin exposures increased five-fold from the pre-pandemic baseline, with an especially sharp rise in July 2021, a CDC report said.

The Food and Drug Administration asked people to stop taking the drug, stating "You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it."

2 unvaccinated child daycare center employees were found dead at home from COVID-19 on the same day
    bdawson@insider.com (Bethany Dawson)

Two unvaccinated women who work together were found dead at their home due to complications of COVID-19.

Two of their co-workers also currently have the virus.

Statesboro county, where the women were from, has a low vaccination rate.

Two day care colleagues from Georgia were found dead in their homes on August 22nd, having died from COVID-19.

    Both women were unvaccinated.

A third employee of the Sugar and Spice Child Care center in Statesboro is in hospital with COVID-19, with a fourth being infected but not hospitalized, Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch told the News Observer.

Manequeia Freeman and Leslia McClain - whose ages have not been released - were both found by next of kin, Futch told the local news outlet.

Vaccination rates in Statesboro, Bulloch County - where the two women lived and worked - are low, with only 20% to 29% of residents being fully vaccinated.

Across the state of Georgia, 50% of people have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with 43% having received a full dose.

The unfortunate deaths come as the USA struggle with a recent surge in COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant.

A number of organizations, including the CDC and PAHO, are now calling COVID-19 the "pandemic of the unvaccinated", with new CDC data showing that unvaccinated people are up to 29x more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 compared to vaccinated people.

The study also showed that unvaccinated people are 5x more likely to catch the virus.

This side effect is more common from COVID-19 than the vaccines
    Herb Scribner

You’re more at risk for blood clots after you’ve contracted COVID-19 than you are if you’ve been vaccinated against COVID-19, a new study suggested.

Do you get blood clots from COVID-19 or the COVID-19 vaccine?

The study — which has been peer-reviewed and published in the British Medical Journal — compared rates of rare blood clotting after a first vaccination dose and after a positive COVID-19 test.

The study analyzed more than 29 million people who had received their first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine and the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

In all, the researchers found the risk of these rare blood events were “substantially higher” after COVID-19 infection compared to when you’ve been vaccinated, per CNBC.

Just 66 people per 10 million were hospitalized or died from blood clots within 28 days after getting the vaccine.

Whereas 12,614 people per 10 million suffered the same situation after testing positive for COVID-19.

Blood clots and the COVID-19 vaccine

There has been ongoing concerns that the COVID-19 vaccine leads to blood clots, and the research has been mixed. For example, The Wall Street Journal reported that the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has been linked to blood clots because it can “trigger an autoimmune disorder causing blood to clot in the brain, which would offer an explanation for isolated incidents across Europe in recent weeks,” The Wall Street Journal reports.

Similarly, the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine was paused because six people were linked to blood clots, as the Deseret News reported. In all, those six cases were among women and were of the 6.8 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine that had been administered at the time. Weeks later, the ban on J&J’s vaccine was lifted.

Experts haven’t been worried about blood clots caused by the Moderna or Pfizer mRNA vaccines, though.

Dr. Vivek Cherian, an internal medicine physician in Baltimore, told Insider that there’s no reason for people to worry since Pfizer and Moderna use a different technology — the mRNA — for their vaccines.

“Instead of taking away confidence from other vaccines, this should actually inspire further confidence in the oversight of these vaccines and definitely should not deter individuals scheduled for either Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to go through with their appointments,” Cherian said.

Unvaccinated, unmasked elementary school teacher infects 22 students and four parents with COVID
    Gabriela Miranda, USA TODAY

An unvaccinated, unmasked elementary school teacher infected 22 students and four parents with COVID-19 in California, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

VWhile experiencing nasal congestion and fatigue, the teacher taught for two days before getting a COVID-19 test. Although the teacher thought their symptoms were simply allergies, she later tested positive.

The elementary school requires teachers and students to mask while indoors, but the CDC reported that the teacher was unmasked while reading aloud to the class.

She outbreak’s attack rate highlights the Delta variant’s increased transmissibility and potential for rapid spread, especially in unvaccinated populations such as schoolchildren too young for vaccination," according to the report.

CShe ocntinued to get worse and worse.”: Pregnant unvaccinated nurse and her unborn 'sweet baby girl' both die of COVID

The teacher became symptomatic on May 19, and received a positive test May 21. However it was too late, as the virus spread to students who showed symptoms on May 22, the reports said.

Twelve of the teacher's students tested positive, half of the students sat in the front two rows of the class.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky addressed elementary school outbreaks during a White House press briefing Friday. She said schools have the tools to protect their children such as universal masks, vaccinations and social distancing protocols.

"It’s human nature to protect our children above all else. And the best way to protect them is to get everyone who is eligible vaccinated and surround children who are not yet vaccine eligible with people who are vaccinated to effectively shield them from COVID harm," Walensky said during the press briefing.

The CDC found a subsequent outbreak at the same school; six unvaccinated students tested positive from a different classroom. The outbreak came from one student who hosted a sleepover on May 21 with two classmates from the same grade.

aAll three of these students later tested positive for COVID-19. The CDC investigators believe the outbreaks in separate grades were still linked.

The investigation found other cases of four different students from separate grades. Each of the students had siblings who were infected by the unmasked teacher. The CDC said it's likely everyone in the respective homes were exposed.

Walensky urged parents and schools to use the "tools to protect children" to avoid further outbreaks in vulnerable communities.

"Universal masks in schools work to prevent outbreaks and reduce the risk of children bringing the virus home to others who are vulnerable. This is not forever; this is for now," Walensky said.

A Texas man who protested against face masks will be transferred to hospice after being hospitalized for nearly a month with COVID-19
    insider@insider.com (Taylor Ardrey)

A Texas man who protested against face masks has been hospitalized with COVID-19 for about a month.

Caleb Wallace was admitted to the hospital in July after showing symptoms of the virus, the San Angelo Standard-Times reported.

His wife told the New York Times that he was being transferred to hospice on Saturday.

An anti-masker in Texas who organized protests against COVID-19 pandemic guidelines has been fighting for his life in the hospital for nearly a month after contracting the virus, according to reports.

Caleb Wallace, a 30-year-old father of three, started showing symptoms of the virus on July 26 and initially refused to go to the hospital for treatment, his wife, Jessica, told the San Angelo Standard-Times. Instead, he was taking vitamin C, aspirin, and ivermectin.

He was taken to the Shannon Medical Center just a few days later, on July 30. According to the report, his condition worsened, resulting in him being placed on a ventilator in the ICU earlier this month.

Jessica, who is pregnant with a fourth child due in late September, created a GoFundMe and raised more than $35,000 to help with Wallace's medical bills and other finances. She has also been providing updates on her husband's condition on the fundraiser and her Facebook page.

"Caleb won't make it much longer. He will be moved to comfort care tomorrow, and I will get to be there with him until it's his time to return to our father in heaven," Jessica wrote in an update on the GoFundMe on Friday. "I appreciate everyone, all the good and the bad. You all have the right to feel the way you feel, as Caleb once fought for his beliefs. He was an imperfect man, but he loved his family and his little girls more than anything."

The Huff Post reported that in July 2020, Wallace organized "The Freedom Rally" protests opposing the "government being in control of our lives."

He is also touted as a founder of San Angelo Freedom Defenders and orchestrated a rally "to end COVID tyranny," according to San Angelo LIVE! and the Standard-Times.

In addition, as the Standard-Times reported, Wallace wrote a letter to the San Angelo Independent School District asking them to overturn their COVID-related guidelines.

In an update on his condition on Saturday, Jessica told the New York Times that her husband would be transferred to hospice at the hospital, and the family will share their final goodbyes.

Texas has been heavily impacted by the surge in COVID-19 cases, leading some hospitals to scramble as ICU beds are in the single digits.

According to the Texas Tribune, health officials have warned that the state is "entering the worst surge in sheer numbers," as the unvaccinated make up a majority of hospitalizations. Data from the New York Times shows that about 47% of the people in the state are fully vaccinated.

    -GOD'S CURE FOR STUPIDITY-
  11. It is entirely reasonable and legitimate to say ‘no’ to insufficiently tested vaccines for which there is no reliable science. You have a right to assert guardianship of your body and to refuse medical treatments if you see fit. You are right to say ‘no’ to a violation of your dignity, your integrity and your bodily autonomy. It is your body, and you have the right to choose. You are right to fight for your children against their mass vaccination in school.

You are right to question whether free and informed consent is at all possible under present circumstances. Long-term effects are unknown. Transgenerational effects are unknown. Vaccine-induced deregulation of natural immunity is unknown. Potential harm is unknown as the adverse event reporting is delayed, incomplete and inconsistent between jurisdictions.

You are being targeted by mainstream media, government social engineering campaigns, unjust rules and policies, collaborating employers, and the social-media mob. You are being told that you are now the problem and that the world cannot get back to normal unless you get vaccinated. You are being viciously scapegoated by propaganda and pressured by others around you. Remember; there is nothing wrong with you.

You are inaccurately accused of being a factory for new SARS-CoV-2 variants, when in fact, according to leading scientists, your natural immune system generates immunity to multiple components of the virus. This will promote your protection against a vast range of viral variants and abrogates further spread to anyone else.

You are justified in demanding independent peer-reviewed studies, not funded by multinational pharmaceutical companies. All the peer-reviewed studies of short-term safety and short-term efficacy have been funded, organized, coordinated, and supported by these for-profit corporations; and none of the study data have been made public or available to researchers who don’t work for these companies.

    Open Letter to the Unvaccinated

You are not alone! As of 28 July 2021, 29% of Canadians have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, and an additional 14% have received one shot. In the US and in the European Union, less than half the population is fully vaccinated, and even in Israel, the “world’s lab” according to Pfizer, one third of people remain completely unvaccinated. Politicians and the media have taken a uniform view, scapegoating the unvaccinated for the troubles that have ensued after eighteen months of fearmongering and lockdowns. It’s time to set the record straight.

You are right to question the preliminary vaccine trial results. The claimed high values of relative efficacy rely on small numbers of tenuously determined “infections.” The studies were also not blind, where people giving the injections admittedly knew or could deduce whether they were injecting the experimental vaccine or the placebo. This is not acceptable scientific methodology for vaccine trials.
You are correct in your calls for a diversity of scientific opinions. Like in nature, we need a polyculture of information and its interpretations. And we don’t have that right now. Choosing not to take the vaccine is holding space for reason, transparency and accountability to emerge. You are right to ask, ‘What comes next when we give away authority over our own bodies?’

Do not be intimidated. You are showing resilience, integrity and grit. You are coming together in your communities, making plans to help one another and standing for scientific accountability and free speech, which are required for society to thrive. We are among many who stand with you.

Caleb Wallace, Anti-Mask 'Freedom Rally' Organizer, Dies at 30 With COVID
    Alex Noble

Caleb Wallace, a Texas man who helped organize the "Freedom Rally" and other prominent protests against pandemic restrictions, has died from COVID-19. He was 30.

His wife, Jessica Wallace, who is pregnant with the couple's fourth child, announced his death on their family's GoFundMe page Saturday.

"Caleb has peacefully passed on," she wrote. "He will forever live in our hearts and minds."

Wallace battled the virus for weeks in the ICU, according to the San Angelo Standard-Times. He had been "unconscious, ventilated and heavily sedated" since Aug. 8. His wife said that he initially began experiencing symptoms on July 26 and wrote on the GoFundMe page that he had been in the hospital since July 30.

Jessica told the Standard-Times that her husband initially refused to be tested for COVID and instead turned to unproven home remedies to fight the virus, including high doses of Vitamin C, zinc, aspirin and Ivermectin -- a parasitic worm treatment intended for animals that is not FDA-approved.

The administration has urged people not to use it to treat COVID-19, writing that it is not an anti-viral medicine and that taking large doses "is dangerous and can cause serious harm."

"He was so hard-headed," Jessica Wallace told the Standard-Times. "He didn't want to see a doctor, because he didn't want to be part of the statistics with COVID tests."

Caleb Wallace had been a vocal opponent to pandemic restrictions and mandates, appearing in interviews criticizing school closures and mask policies as well as organizing a July 4 "Freedom Rally" last year to protest government restrictions. He also founded "The San Angelo Freedom Defenders," a group that hosted a separate rally last year to "end COVID tyranny."

"Show me the science that masks work," he wrote on the City of San Angelo's official Facebook in December 2020. "Show me the evidence that school closures work. Show me the evidence that lock-downs work."

For Jessica, whose views on masks differed from her husband's, Caleb's diagnosis led to the realization that the virus "does not discriminate."

"I'm from the border town of Del Rio, and my views are less conservative," she told the Standard-Times. "I'm not a liberal. I stand somewhere in the middle...Caleb would tell me, 'You know masks aren't going to save you,' but he understood I wanted to wear them. It gives me comfort to know that maybe, just maybe, I'm either protecting someone or avoiding it myself."

She also added that "whether he was a hardcore conservative or not, he was an amazing man."
