Dear Jude was based on Jude Farrow. Mia Farrows sister that the beatles were friends with. Mia Farrow was chosen to be Rosemary. Roman Polanski was married to Sharon Tate murdered in the Tate/LaBianca murders Involving Rosemary LaBianca and her Husband as well as the Sharon Tate's good friend and Hair Stylist and other notable names such as the heiress to the Folgers Coffee family out of San Francisco. Here is the creepy kicker. Charlie Manson went to Sharon's house looking for song producer Terry Melcher (Son of Dorris Day and Produced the Beach Boys and started the famous California Surf Rock genre). He didn't know who Sharon Tate was at first. and Terry had just sold the house to Roman Polanski and Charlie thought Terry still lived there. Charlie Manson claimed Terry ripped him off. Terry was going to do a documentary on Charlie Manson. He felt Charlie had a new sound but declined to take charlie on after he witnessed a fight at the Ranch that Charlie and family where squatting on. He was looking for the Producer and not Sharon Tate or Roman Polanski. the Family thought Sharon might have been a film star (they recognized right away) as Terry's guest. not the person who just bought the house. So there is no connection of Jude Farrow, Roman Polanski or Mia Farrow or Sharon tate being initial targets. it "just happened by coincidence" because Charlie believed Helter Skelter was written about him while Hey Jude was also on the Album.
