All you can do is stay out of their way and let the whole thing burn itself out. Associate only with corona virus atheists - by which I don't mean people who think the virus is fake, but people who don't get worked into a religious hysteria about the whole thing.

2021-08-17 at 12:48 PM UTCI was locked down and unable to leave the country for 5 months this year. I only got the pfizer vax so I could get the vaccine passport. I want to go to Russia, but they still don't do visas for foreigners, and my country has 2 weeks mandatory hotel quarantine for people who are unvaccinated coming from Russia (incidentally the EU doesn't recognise the Gamelya Sputnik vaccination as being valid).
It's a fucking joke and inside my head I don't even feel like I still believe in covid, but I have to pretend to be afraid of it and avoid people who have it (some of my family had it) and act like it's a big deal and everything. It's ridiculous.
When I was about 10 I developed a weird germ phobia and was constantly washing my hands and obsessing about cleanliness, but I grew out of that schizo OCD bullshit. Now it feels like everyone has it.
People are terrified of the invisible corona particles. Fucking nut jobs. -
