I can survive easily off just what's on the land indefinitely. If you want a really handy item in your survival kit, get a magnifying glass. It's an endless source of fire. Once all the matches run out, you'll need it.

Being a pyromancer comes in handy.
Fire in this day and age gets you noticed. Thats why im working on a handcrank induction cooker, no smoke, no bright flame, last a few decades, can be re magnetized after that.
But yeah being able to control fire is handy if all else fails.
