Every Falcon Booster looks like it's going to crash bigly. I never get used to seeing it.

This is the best bit. The Indian guy is deliberately hyperventilating to be sharper, Elon Musk is about ready to pass out, but going on about urgency in getting to Mars. I don't think anyone here is on drugs to any negative degree, but the whole thing has an feel of amphetamine fueled excitement about it.

Today's flight, which was to test integration with the booster stage.

Looks like many of the engines stopped working.

Possibly the hydraulics exploding 30 seconds in.

If the software was better it would have been cool to see the actual starship part separate and try to return independently.

did y'all see that bitch flip out?

it flipped once and I was like HERE WE GO and then it just slooooowly kept flipping more and didn't separate, I was waiting for that nice rocket money shot but it exploded before that part came off.

That's my guess what happened, the decoupler borked.

yeah 6/33 engines failed, you'd think that's something they would've fixed on the ground before a live test

So apparently the little circle thing in the bottom left shows the engines. I did not realize that

I wish my grandpa was still around to nerd out with about this. He worked for NASA for 40 years. Boeing, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin. His stuff was his bread and butter.

I didn't know this was taking off from South Tejas...might be worth taking a day off and going out there if they do more from there.

they took off with bad engines to begin with.

thats the purpose of the test. to learn how not to rocket.

The launchpad was pretty badly chewed up. Debris may have been a factor in the failures.

debris had nothing to do with the failure. the locking mechanism is located on the top part of the booster.

    Enrish fail.

Debris isn't limited to a certain location
