I'm actually doing pretty good. I went to DC for 4th of July to see the fireworks and just bebop around (their metro is confusing as fuck), checked out Arlington national cemetery, and the zoo, and seen the Smithsonian.
I'm in a methadone program which has curbed my dope habit a lot.
Just trying to live and enjoy as much if it as I can.
I'm also no longer on the streets. I gave a place with a roof over my head.
All I gotta say is I hope you're doing well too. When I posted this I was dying of sepsis and in seriously bad withdrawal (the kind that causes hallucinations, like in trainspotting, which I thought was an exaggeration until I dealt with them first hand).
I'm at the point I may lose my arm due to infection, and may end back in the hospital soon since those septic symptoms are cropping up again but I should be okay since I'm on methadone and Hopkins is good at giving me pain meds, especially their addiction team. At this point I don't care, my hand doesn't work any way.
Strange fucked up ride, but I hope you've been well, hope things have gotten better and hope you've found someone that loves you for who you are and helps you through the tough times. As for me, I've sworn off relationships beyond platonic. I'm much happier this way. I'm probably going through menopause anyway too, so sex isn't even on my radar. No desire whatsoever. I'm celibate. -
2021-08-13 at 3:18 PM UTCMy ex mother in law lost her leg because of her heroin habit...I guess it was infected as fuck or something. She was found in the gutter nearly dead and rushed to the hospital.
I used to take ex wife #2 up to Dallas to visit her every couple of months and then take them out to eat. She'd always ask me to lift her from the car into the wheelchair...even though she was perfectly capable of hopping across...somehow when doing this She'd always squirm so that I grabbed her tit instead of under her arm and then cackle like a witch...fucking disgusting. -

I nearly lost both legs to necrotizing fascitis (flesh eating bacteria) in 2018. When I finally saw a doctor at the ER, she told me that I was a few hours away from them not being able to save my legs. All I thought was "fuck you I've been waiting in the ER waiting room for 5 hours." The doctor was awesome though, she followed me back to get a CT so she'd be the first one to know the results. She had called in the emergency on-call surgeon by the time I got back to my room, then I proceeded to wait another hour for my raging homosexual surgeon to get there and scrub in. Also the surgeon almost killed me on the table when they nicked my femoral artery and I started geysering blood everywhere. They had to do an ememrgency transfusion of 2 units of blood in the OR, then I had to get 2 more upstairs. That was nearly half my blood volume that sprayed out of me. It would have been a comedy of errors if it wasn't so tragic. Edit: Also, the hospital I went to was rationing dilaudid (only the ICU and OR could order it), so I only got morphine outside of the OR which didn't even tickle my balls.
I had an MRI on my knee back in April of this year and they asked me if I had sickle cell anemia because my bones lost so much tissue from the infection. -

I still have infection in my femur and radius which I believe has contributed to me being anemic.
Yes you lost a lot of blood but you'd have been okay as long as they staunched the bleeding. I lost 6 500ml bottles of blood once inan attempt at suicide via ensanguination.
We've both had some fucked shit go on, we're both tough though. I fell that's unfortunate for me but very glad you're still alive. Despite what you think I wish you the best. -

There was a time when there wasn't enough hours in the day... Well... I'm sorry I fucked it all up. I fuck everything up eventually. I'm sorry you got hurt in that. I can't change the past though.
