Maybe they'll ban privacy coins, like Monero. -
2021-08-03 at 1:15 PM UTCwe already pay fucking taxes on them, how do you think we buy them in the first place? on top of all the transfering fees and other overheads, we already lose 10% on every damn transaction every time we need to convert it to dollars unless we trade under the table.
fucking greedy cunts.
they can ban all they want, they wont stop the adoption, look how far banning online piracy got them.
what really scares me is elon musks attempt to monopolize the entire internet. then he could intercept all crypto transactions, the fucking cunt. -

one of its early selling point is that its off limits for governments.
now that it can be taxed and traced its just another speculative financial product.
one mans good news is anothers traumatic childhood experience. -
2021-08-03 at 6:04 PM UTCIn us u are already supposed to pay taxes on them after you own a certain amount I think 10k? It’s relatively small so most have to pay the taxes or risk it’s being up your ass in a few years
-
2021-08-03 at 6:38 PM UTCThat's not fair why should I have to pay taxes , when it uses the block chain like that. Taxation is theft!

cryptocurrency by its nature is encrypted, they would have to prove you have a wallet, prove you own that wallet and then prove how much you have in the wallet. mathematically impossible. unenforcable and therefore irrelevant.
the feds cant will things in and out of existence by writing some intimidating words on a piece of fucking paper. get real.
you live in real world, your properties exist in real world. if you made da big polish bucks thru cryptos your going to want to buy a big house and some big cars.
you either need cash for those things, which the government will find out when you exchange your cryptos into bank monies,
or
when you buy those things straight using cryptos, because deeds, titles, ownership changes etc etc and a variety of other paper works involved.
of course you can keep your big crypto bucks online forever and never cashes out and never uses it unless to buy a few k worth of drugs but then whats the point of having da big bucks if you cant spend them bigly.
a well endowed virgin is still a virgin. -
2021-08-04 at 4:17 PM UTCproperty can be taxed, yes, hence i dont own any. some of us arent morons. i dont want a big house or big cars, i already have a functional truck and an apartment. i would rather let my crypto stash's interest let me live for free.

You think some totalitarian govt would care? They will beat the shit out of you to get what they want.
In the US they cant enforce a ban b/c it would likely violate the 1st amendment, not because it would be difficult.
Let me give you an example:
Did you know encryption algorithms was once classified a munitions?
Did the govt stop classifying/enforcing them as so because it would be 'impossible to enforce'?
Nope, court ruled it is protected under 1st amendment.

The US wont ban not because it is 'difficult', they wont ban b/c it is your (likely) protected right.
Totalitarian country, they can issue a ban, they care about if it is difficult? Nope.
the court ruled it protected under 1st amendment BECAUSE they realized it is impossible to enforce you fucking idiot.
legality is verbal gymnastics that can justify any government action or inaction.
when they thought they had an upper hand in vietnam, they declared the war legal. when it was obvious they were losing the war, they declared the war illegal.
you have no rights if you cant stop someone from violating them. do you seriously believe that your rights hinge on a piece of paper?
