Going to clean out my Aunts house.

2021-07-18 at 10:41 AM UTCPreviously I had thought it was to be sold as is (meaning full of junk).
That is no longer the case and I got roped into doing it.
My dad isn't in the age or shape to be messing with such fuckery.
He should be enjoying his self and I deal with trash on a daily basis talking to you guys so I'm pretty good at it.
Going to head over there now.
I'll post pictures of cool/disgusting stuff I find. -

15 trash bags today.
And a broken piece of furniture.
It didn't seem like very much.
There is so much more to do.
I LOVE doing this kind of stuff. It is so satisfying! I have helped friends and clients clean & reorganize their homes after they have gotten out of control.
Focus on one room at a time. Buy a big ol’ roll of contractor bags (they’re huge and strong so they won’t break and spew gunk everywhere). Go through said-room and toss everything that is garbage. If it’s an item that hasn’t been utilized in the last decade and has no monetary value - trash or put in a separate bag for donation.
I highly recommend going to dollar tree and grabbing a bottle of “LA’s totally awesome” concentrated cleaner. It’s yellow liquid. Or get a bottle and a gallon size of LA’s to refill the bottle. That stuff is like liquid cleaning gold and helps with a lot of caked on nastiness, spot cleaning or just regular wiping down. While at dollar tree, get a dish washing brush and use it to scrub the hell out of stubborn spots. Open windows while doing this because they say to dilute the LA cleaner but I never do and it can get pretty strong. Plus fresh air will help air out the place and freshen it up. If for some reason there is nastiness or gunk on the walls, a product like a Magic Eraser is normally super good for that kind of stuff but save yourself some money and just get some Melamine sponges, same thing but way less expensive.
Use of a hand broom and dustpan are super helpful as well as a vacuum cleaner. Blast some music to help make things bearable and don’t stop until a room is done. Then on to the next one or start a new room the following day. Wish I could be of more help! Good luck buddy! -

2021-07-18 at 10:16 PM UTCUse the garden leaf bags. They're double strength, about 4 feet tall, and you can put a lot in them.
