   Most of California was a desert. The LA basin is an old desert.
   
   Then they built the delta from Sacramento to LA which Mt. Shasta glacier was it's source. But like most glaciers of the world, Mt Shasta is receeding. And the Colorado/snake river that the Hoover dam was built for.. bringing water to Vegas and LA basin, is drying up.
   
   
   We're fucked. Waterlines are the lowest in 40 years however in 40 years population has doubled.
