2021-07-13 at 12:35 AM UTCThe land deal I was in the process of signing a purchase deed but fell through last month had caught fire July 9th and has grown. Being called the Sugar Fire".
It's only 25 percent contained and spread over 3 miles
I'm looking at the very neighborhood I was buying into. I guess no one did weed abatement on them shrubs which burned like crazy with 25 mph winds
That sucks. I feel bad for those folks. Just another fire as the last 5 years is seeing. They said this is the earliest wild fire season on record.

2021-07-13 at 12:38 AM UTCIt seems nowadays every year has "record breaking" Californian wildfires. Why don't you guys take fire control seriously anymore? Just don't care? Too fat and lazy?

Someone suggested ocean water to be piped into dense forest that other countries do. But the red tape of beurocrats would take 50 years -

The nor cal burn usually farther north of SF but yeah, LA itself has many probably on this line you speak of -
2021-07-13 at 5:48 AM UTCFire is natural in most of these areas. It used to come through every 10-15 years clearing out underbrush and weak plants. Then humans moved in and decided they didn't want everything torched that often.
Okay... so then the forests need to be taken care of. Without controlled burns and regular logging (which requires replanting, tree huggers) all the fuel builds up on the forest floor and rots. Trees and plants compete for resources, and when a fire finally starts, it BURNS. Not just little cleansing fires, but these massive, town-ruining, armeggdon things the media salivates over.
Either let things burn naturally, or take care of the forest. The fucking tree huggers don't even understand the ecological damage they do by limiting logging and controlled burning. -

The thing is Doyle is this unique High Desert with desert mountains to the east and the west has a few but it is where the Sierra ends. You basically see where Donner's Pass is.
So it goes from pine forest to desert. I thought in itself that was nature's giant fire break. But the brush is what help carried the fire storm with strong winds.
I love all of the land management (BLM) buying shit up to keep track housing out for recreation and lots zoned from 2.5 acre on up. So it remains single family dwelling. But clearly, weed abatement demands will come earlier from all of this. That brush should have been cleared out, this may have not happened. The irony is I asked if the man I was purchasing from would clear it one last time saving me bulldozing fees since I was asked to pay closing fees. This could have been why he didn't sign off.
So I pulled out. But the property won't lose value.
Paradise Ca tht burned down had cheap land with utilities already In place. But they are demanding construction starts or permit to be purchased by September.
So it may come with regulation demands after purchasing. -
