    I had a 1974 VW convertible bug, yellow with a black top that would go anywhere. I was living in the City back then and there was a large snowstorm followed by days and days of cold preventing the snow from melting. The City did not plow side streets and they became ruts of jagged ice that, because the bug sat so low to the ground, ripped my floorboards out and it was like I was driving Fred Flintstones car where you could see the road between your feet. Still, that bug kept running and running and running. The heaters in those things sucked and not having a floorboard made for one freaking cold drive in the winter. Was kinda nice in the summer though.
