I’m pretty sure totse and zoklet had a couple serial killers…that were caught and I remember a weird situation on zoklet where this guy posted saying he was about to go on a shooting spree and a picture of him with an ak and like an hour later there was a mass shooting where the guy used an ak but the guys race was wrong. I don’t remember if the poster was black or white but the supposed shooter was the opposite. Weird.
Totse was better though. They had a shitload of entertaining text files even if a lot of it didn’t work.

My how fast Cable Internet has gotten in the last 10 years. not much improvement in the last 10 but it jumped in the last 10 from probably 100 fold just as DSL did with dialup. dialup never really reached 56k either. I paid like 80 bucks for a dialup modem at 28.8 and then returned it and got a 56k the next month for half the price with 40 bucks back in my pocket.. or close to that (CompUSA polity was awesome at one point)
Concord California good ol Babbages was another place. Thats where I found out about totse by the sales guy. no doubt a regular user in the original dialup days of &TOTSE. I think he was a filipino guy. he was pretty cool. never asked for his user name but he gave me an old dot-matrix style printed quarterly of a magazine that sounded like the store itself. BABBS or something. Bay Area Bulletin Board ??
but it had BBS all over the country. &TOTSE had the center page. it was like an old comic book style matrix dot print. I found a pdf file of it one day. I may have it stored somewhere. I might do a deep clean on my files. most of it is shit. I never properly organized anything. that is at least a few days of toss or save to a directory. im disorganize as fuck. my shrink told me I should learn to organize and gave me some sources.

instead I name my directory a quick 40sdfh4kjsd or whatever. just to move along. i have tons of shit that dont go together with other folders of tons of shit that dont go with each other.
i never bought a software that can manage disc space, proper storage naming and whatnot. im used to job of data entry that did that shit for you and never did it at home.

It's crazy how much the internet has changed in the last 10 years. Internet capable phones killed forums. We were better off back in the aDSL/cable days when a 10mbps connection was considered pretty good.
