2021-06-17 at 9:31 AM UTCAny advice? I had my phone interview and I think it went pretty good she said she had to call and get their statement and she’d call for my rebuttal and if I didn’t hear from her that’s good and I haven’t heard back yet and it’s been 2 days, they are trying to say I was high but they never drug tested me or offered one or anything and it’s letting me certify for benefits even though the money hasn’t come yet I certified yesterday.
Anyone have similar experience and got it? -

Nothing to worry about if they didn't drug test you, the employer doesn't get to decide. -

Pretty much the same though you can be denied it if the unemployment is due to something you did, telling your boss to "fuck off" for example or walking out on the job etc. -
2021-06-17 at 12:54 PM UTCYou're probably fucked. They tend to just side with any bullshit the employer says to avoid paying, and they get paid off and bribed by affected businesses to decide in their favor. It's stacked against the employee unless you have overwhelming evidence.

They can even dismiss overwhelming evidence. Few years ago my ex-wifes friend was fired because the boss was stealing her wages, not paying her what she'd worked for and he said she was fired for a variety of reasons that would cause denial of unemployment.
I suggested she get one of those phone apps that records the call and call him about it. She did and put himself right in it basically admitting he ripped her off and there wasn't anything she could do about it. When her unemployment application was denied and she appealed it she provided the recording as proof...they rejected the recording and said it wasn't "admissible". She didn't get unemployment. -

You have no evidence to support your claim...that's just the opinion of a Negative Nancy. -

It was probably a state where recording a phone conversation without all parties knowing that the call is being recorded is illegal and thus inadmissable as evidence. -
