phenibut taking forever to kick in

   I took 5 grams of phenibut 13 hours ago and only now noticed in the mirror that my pupils are big, i feel completely sober right now, i drove back home from the store a minute ago and had no issues.
   
   at the peak, i felt pretty chill but not high per se, so these pills seem to not be doing much lately but i only do this once a week so how does this get me a tolerance?
   
   whats wrong with me?

   I've taken it a lot. When is the last time you dosed? And 5 grams is a really high dose to take at once, maybe your body isn't happy with that.
   
   Was always a very hit or miss drug for me and you need too much time between doses for it to be reliable at all.

   The last time before yesterday? the week before i took flurophenibut which is similar so it probably has cross tolerance.
   
   5 grams is a regular dose for me, i have taken up to 10 before, if my body wasnt happy wouldnt i feel sick? i didnt even get properly high, i just felt really chill and jammed all night. i was sober enough to post coherently on here and to drive.
   
   is doing it once a week too frequent? i went almost a year without it once and sure enough my tolerance decreased to about half but the onset of action remained ridiculously long and the dose still high by normal standards.
   
   how long does it take to kick in for you?

   2-3 hours to kick in but its usually fairly subtle.
   
   I took 4 grams a day for a month straight once and still got anti anxiety effects from it and didn't get withdrawals when I quit. Maybe you're expecting too much from it? If 5 grams is making you feel "meh" you probably just need a different drug.

   like what? i react very unconventionally to everything and the drugs i like fuck me up hardcore so i am forced to desist and resort to lackluster shit like this.
   
   you got fucked up chemistry too if you didnt get withdrawal effects, phenibut is known for being really addictive. but guess what? it took 7-8 hours for me to kick in last night, this is my biggest pet peeve. flurophenibut i was told has a much faster onset but it still took around 6 hours and less positive effects on top of that.
   
   does it give you mydriasis?
