Under-barrel grenade launchers are actually probably the weird one. Also they just use high power blanks and the grenade gets lobbed from the gas pressure, no shooting bullets into primers or anything whacky like that. The appeal being it's simpler. It's literally just a tube on the end of the gun, and when you want to fire a grenade you load a different cartridge. -
2021-05-19 at 5:47 PM UTCthey dont use bullets to hit the primer. they probably use a small projectile to hit it. a bullet hitting the primer to fire the grenade into the direction sounds like an explosion just waiting to happen. you know, people put their finger into a gun barrel will loose that finger but they also know it most likely would explode in the shooters face and destroy the gun.
