I was in a store and this guy was scanning a magazine with some weird device that looked like a barcode scanner but it was beeping really loudly and shot a red laser grid at the magazine and he was moving it back and forth scanning the page while it beeped, it looked like he was downloading all of the text from the magazine very quickly.
Where do I get one?. his device was still beeping while he was outside and it scared a womans dog.
It kinda looked like this but not smooth at all, it had square edges, kinda looked like a bulkier version of a selfie stick, but much shorter and fatter. I did not see a screen of any kind
also he wasn't flipping through the pages, only the cover was open. I think it was scanning the pages behind the pages somehow or maybe he was just scanning one page.
I got the impression it was some kind of medical assisted reading device for old people or something but I have never seen anything like it before. There was a lot of handicap old people out today and he fit that profile.
