"fighters" that when flown at its intended speed, will disintegrate into thousand of pieces.
the only reason they wont get shot down is because they;re too slow for modern AA missiles.

They laughed at our flotilla during the Falklands conflict too...YET WE DECIMATED THE ARGI-BARGI after at 10,000 mile voyage, very limited equipment with resupplies MONTHS away and the ARGI BARGI's just a few hundred miles away from their endless resupplies.

The Falklands conflict was a dire predictor of how warfare in the 21st century would play out - decrepit superpowers warring with 3rd world shitholes who are lucky to have even one piece of modern military technology. I wish the Argies had had more success with exocets and won. Maybe the UK getting its ass kicked in the Falklands would have made the rest of the world think twice about waging forever wars with tiny countries. -

Wasn't going to happen. Again it's not just about the equipment (and the Argies were WELL equipped anyway with Mirage fighters)
Just like the Battle of Britain...RAF outnumbered 3-1 by the Luftwaffe and yet...completely victorious resulting in Hitler abandoning any future plans to invade England, he lost the air battle, he lost the sea battle. Operation Sea lion, canceled.
