   Same thing happens in small towns here. They either get swallowed into the city sprawl or they start to erode as the younger generation moves away. It gets older and demographics fuck them up and become unsustainable.

   forestry is killed here because of public ownership and monopoly rights on crown land. There are only certain places to legally chop and fewer to refine and the government has their hand in every transaction. When resources are isolated logistics and regulation make it unfeasible

   it used to chillingly cold in the morning or at night when i rode my bike around town i cant go anywhere without a jacket without shiverring on a motorcycle now after decades of massive deforestation everywhere is warm.
