israel/Dimona Missile Strike

The initial story was that Dimona, the location of israel's primary nuclear research and production facilities, was struck by a missile. Explosions were reported in the area, but no serious damage (though israel never reveals potentially sensitive information like that anyway). A few hours later the IDF reported that they'd fired at SAM launchers in Syria near Damascus where the original missiles came from.

I thought this was a typo or some kind of translation error - why would anyone use a Surface to Air missile to attack an israeli nuclear facility... on the ground?

As it turns out it actually was an S200 SAM complex. I have no idea what they were shooting at, but the S200 apparently fired at an air target, missed, the missile strayed into israel and went undetected for half the country and landed next to one of their most sensitive military facilities by accident.

At least that's the story at the moment.

    we'll see.

The US wants it, Right Sector wants it, Zelensky knows it'll be an utter catastrophe but I don't think he can stop it

He'll just use the little green men again to avoid taking responsibility.
