    I sometimes think about hurting people - of lashing out wildly and unpredictably against humans, like I'm an animal. No good would come of it, but I think about it. I mean really what's to stop me from running through the streets poking people to death with (very pointy) sticks? Not much.

    Thankfully being in my small world takes little effort. Poking people with sticks takes effort. Pray the balance in that equation doesn't shift overmuch.

    Aleister Crowley wrote about a 'werewolf state', where you could use ritual to essentially 'drop the pretense' and go back to your vicious animal instincts. I never really learned much about it though because it was largely censored at the time and the only place I read about it was from excerpts from Apocalypse Culture
