I have been keeping fishthanks for approximately five years.
All freshwater. All simple. Stuff you can widely find.
I have kept the following
pea puffers
guppies
killifish
angelifsh
gourami
plecos
loaches
cherry shrimp
ghost shrimp
plants
mysetry snails
bladder snails
Koi
glofish
corydoras
I currently have
glofish
corydoras
several lines of guppies
angelfish
and cherry shrimp
as well as plants
I also raise like brine shrimp. I"m setting that up tonight to grow them out and use them as feed for the cherrys.
I don't really sell many of them but mostly trade them in for credit or give them away. It's mostly for my own enjoyment.
Do you keep fish? I am very interested in learning furhter about guppie genetics and designer lines and into shrimp. If anyone has any experience in these or wishes to discus the other stuff, i'd love to.
:)

I keep saltwater/reef stuff and have for the last 30 + years.

how expensive is it once you have everything to just keep the salt water operation going? THat was always my biggest concern

Remember when Trump dumped that whole box of fish food into the Koi pond?

Saltwater /reef tanks are not that hard it's just the startup cost and maintenance.
Plan on at least 5 gallons a week water change with some enhancement cleaning, top off water level for evap and light feeding.

just saw some of my cherry shrimp raping this really big one, just 2 on 1in her, I almost wanted to get part of the action, she was bigger and ultimately settled on one of them who did some weird tapping thing (I assume sex?) and then dipped off just a happy cummer and goer on the move
really pleased.
