Shame is bad for you.

I theorize that there is a physical, neurochemically associated correspondence with SHAME, of which is truly what it is that is bad for a being. That, combined with association with those that are associated with behavioral patterns and lifestyle choices of which are associated with shame... and you have shit like ''faces of meth''.

This has taken thousands of hours of work for me to figure out, and I want to be paid, in addition to the benefit of understanding this, myself. and some people think I am doing nothing with my life. I'm going to save the fucking planet, you homos. also, I have nothing against gay people. I love gay people. I, myself, am straight, but I fucking LOVE gay people. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!

If anyone would like to pay me, PM me, and you can explain to me how I can set up a pay-pal account, as long as there aren't any (too) overwhelming consequences of potential detriment to me of which could result.

^Waste of time, waste of bandwidth type response from some boring fag with nothing better to do...

How about some serious responses? From posters that are actually noteworthy?

If someone else does it to you. If you do it to yourself you only strengthen your mind and body and learn to Humble yourself.

but You also should have a mind set that ¨I can do this but this doesn´t make me special¨

You wanna get payed for a single paragraph thesis on shame?

    Shame on you bitch.

Norm said it best. Sex = shame. You close the blinds when you have sex. Blinds closed = shame. Nobody closes their blinds when they're baking a pie for ol Whitta Hamilton.

If it's taken you thousands of hours to recognise that shame is bad for you, you've spent a whole lot of time re-inventing the wheel. Go read some Brene Brown, if you work in the tech sector your boss will probably let you expense the books. Once you've gotten that bullshit under control you can think about something more interesting.

it seems obvious enough when someone suggests you direct your conscious attention toward(s) it, doesn't it?

i didn't suggest that anyone else would be more likely than less to suggest otherwise.

but we're looking at this subject matter right now, aren't we? how often does that happen?

shame is an evolutionary behaviour meant to contribute to social cohesion.

done bad thing? feel bad about it? you're less likely to do it again

Its crippling at times for those who have been falsely shamed or to feel as if they're not capable of empowering themselves and making good choices on their own.

So its a tool to humble us. to make us focus on being the most efficient and productive we can be. but seems many on here keep failing

    I am shameless.
    And seemingly lack a conscious.
    Or foresight.
    And good sense.

That said I prefer to remain unknown, unseen and unjudged.

    Lord help me.

This. It promotes pro-social behavior. And people who see that you are experiencing the physiological effects of shame will be more likely to be kind and forgiving toyou. That's not anecdotal there have been studies on this.

Shame would only be physiologically harmful for you if the release of stress hormone came with it.

Really depends if we're talking about the a priori existence of shame (in which case aldra has it right) specifically related to our actions, or the phenomenon of carrying around shame (which is mostly just mental illness / fear / not good for you) and having it prevent normal/healthy interactions.

Either way, most people have the wrong amount of it
