2021-04-02 at 10:39 AM UTCThat's like saying there has never been a successful capitalist state since in perfect capitalism the united states would have no social welfare programs.
All things exist in a daulity and are best kept like that. A state that provides for it's citizens and allows wide rights, but also maintains law and order and allows for profit and open market practices, is a blend of both free market capitalism, and common sense socialism, needed to make what I consider to be a Utopia, at least, my understanding of the world is such that I hold the opinion that a John Smith style lassez faire style market place such as America with a democratically elected representitive democracy to be the best form of government, which is coinciding with the strength of the mixing pot of a nation of immigrants, made America the greatest country on earth.
Suck on that any other country than China (who IMO is 1:1 with America in terms of Oh Wow! That's a big nice one! terms) -
2021-04-02 at 10:45 AM UTCCapitalism is such a successful system though that even adopting some principles of capitalism into any economic system will always improve it for a low low cost. Biden made a point in his recent speech how %GDP public spending on innovation is much lower and other countries are catching up to the USA.
I thought private enterprise replaced that role, at least in western countries it seems the best and brightest is in the private sector.
A post scarcity society will have a much different view on economy.

NEETs are the equivalent of medieval monks. They own nothing, besides perhaps a food bowl.
Stakeholder capitalism, as advocated by the WEF, sees capitalist urban mass-monasticism as the most desirable outcome.
