land is sinking and its because oceans are rising.
the weight of the ocean water moving in is bursting underwater springs of fresh water but also rerouting the clouds that bring fresh water farther inland and away from coastal california. but it is also causing preassure on the faults which is pressing down so slightly that its keeping the quakes from happening until it completely snaps. then California will see its largest quake in over 1200 years or more. it will be shallow and it will be 50 times more violent than the 1906 Earthquake of san Francisco
it will be felt in Seattle and In Baja Mexico and it wil shatter windows and damage smaller or older buildings as far as LA and possibly San Diego

There will be a deluge of Ocean water flooding the San Francisco bay and there will be a cataclism opening up and causing a massive whirlpool in the San Francisco Bay.
all of the towns water edges along the bay will have 8-10 feet of water flooding them but not before a 22 foot high rush of water surges and floods much of Downtown San Francisco lower floors and copletely flood single story buildings just 5-10 feet above sea level.
this will result in a long standing water for months of 8 feet or so to stick around until pumped back out into the bay. but much of the rock walls and sand dunes that keep the bay water back will be destroyed and leaking rivers into low lying towns.
so it could take years to repair. much of the infrastructure will be severely or totally damaged. bridges wont be open for use for many many month. and they will only be temporary fixes. the economy of SF will be destroyed far worse than the Covid 19 has already done.
there is not enough ferry services for people to get to work and the phone, cable and cell mast towers will all be destroyed to some degree of practical use. meaning people cant even work out of their homes properly. moving HQ to other major cities
it will be discuss if San Francisco should be the Main Hub of Technology. Most likely moving it to NYC or Atlanta Ga. possibly even Las Vegas.
Homes will be auctioned off at dirt cheap prices when people just give up on their mortgages because their Earthquake Insurance wont pay for the first 15% of construction (many people dont know this)
The Death Toll could reach over 100 thousand and hundreds of thousands to a million injuries. the smell of rotting or dying people and animals and fish will be overwhelming. the National Guard will have to be brought in to bury or offer first aid. Thousands will die from infections alone. Open Sewer lines from breakage will be common.

I honestly think disasters like that bring out the worst in humanity. There was mass rapes and pillages during that New Orleans disaster.
