What it will be like to live in space

2021-03-16 at 7:42 PM UTCPersonally I think humans will be living in space by the end of my lifetime. We already do but I think someone is going to get so mega rich that they will build their own space station. I looked into the costs and it's totally possible to be done by one person with lots of money
the hard part is getting it into space and factoring in other people. A space society probably very far off but I think space households will be a thing.
Here is a book about that
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Packing_for_MarsIn Packing for Mars, Mary Roach searches for answers to questions about the gross, the bizarre, and the uncomfortable aspects of space travel. The book's 16 chapters cover the entire comedic spectrum of all things space-related, and also include some study of the scientific side of space travel.[3] The chapters discussing the various bodily functions of astronauts in space (going to the bathroom, having sex, vomiting[4]) and obscure testing procedures (animals in space, lying in beds for months, parabolic zero-g[5]) are balanced by the informative sections on topics such as the psychological effects of being in space, astronaut training, and the increasing use of human cadavers over crash test dummies in research.
I will post a pdf when I can find it -

2021-03-16 at 10:17 PM UTChow much time do you think astronauts spend jerking off and trying to hit targets on the other end of the ISS

Jerk off in a chamber, then get out and depressurize it so your cum freezes in space, eventually balling into the middle of an asteroid and launching towards a developing celestial body (18+) where new life will sprout and form a civilization not too dissimilar to our own -
2021-03-16 at 10:23 PM UTCThis is basically the background behind the existence of all the Star Trek races

2021-03-16 at 10:24 PM UTCImagine being on a flight that goes on months. Smelly and cramped and boring and sort of uncomfortable. I imagine that's basically what living in space is like.

Halley's Comet is a space giant's cosmic load -

i feel like living in space would be just that, everything rationed, small quarter, a bunch of bullkshit safety concerns, it would suck if you experienced anything like living on earth. -
2021-03-19 at 1:52 PM UTCRadiation and the detrimental effects of long term zero G on the human body needs to be overcome before Humans can think about living in space for extended periods. That's not going to be solved anytime soon.

Babygirl your developing body is simply celestial(18-).
ONTOPIC: Starlink is going to make Elon Musk a gazillionaire and SpaceX the richest company on the planet, i'm betting Elon will be President of Mars in 50 years, it's going to be lit. -
2021-03-19 at 2:01 PM UTCMan can't even get to the Moon. He'd be fried by the radiation belts before he even got one tenth of the way there.

2021-03-19 at 2:52 PM UTCIn the '60's, people were so dumbed-down stupid they actually thought a 10-foot diameter lunar module with only 270 pounds of fuel in it and a computer on par with a modern hand calculator could lift off from the Moon and navigate all the way back to Earth. There's even idiots today who think that's possible.

Actually all you need to do is get to the command module in orbit, given that The Moon's gravity is 1/6th of what it is here that's relatively easy.
