I don't give a shit what some Twitter screenshot says. I care about what lawmakers propose. I haven't seen absolutely anyone say they want to abolish the police. It's just right wing propaganda to make it seem like the left wants some anarchist state so BLM can burn Walmarts or whatever the fuck. Nobody wants chaos. This system works. These aren't new ideas.
A lot of people don't realize that police like this have never existed until the last 200ish years. They would look like occupying soldiers to George Washington. The way things are now shouldn't be seen as normal. American police are clearly fucked up and need reform. The vast majority of the country agrees too, but this polarization is keeping anyone on the right from talking about anything but imaginary BLM gangs.
