I mean being able to have a beer or even a coffee with bailey while doing some research or reading or being able to lay down as you want instead of dealing with a desk or hell being able to not have to travel or go through cold weather to get to that office what more do you want out of life?

i don't think startrek does it because he craves to be around co-workers.. he might but all I know is a lot of people are no t like that, I'm sure he does it because he has to.
that and some people like a place to do work away from home. personally I couldn't work from home as I've always worked in the service industry for the most part. i live around a few people that work from home and they seem to like it, though a couple of them are extremely introverted so its hard to imagine them not do that and looking like a lump of shithole in front of others.
though I'll tell you what though, the last place I worked the jedi place it had its upsides to it and there were some cool people that worked there but I'm not like other people and no amount of preperation makes the first 20 minutes easy on me, I was greeted by everyone all at once, it was strange, and everyone asked me the same questions, when really I just needed a little time to myself, because I'd show up mid shift when everyone is already in their groove and feelin fine.
I had this asshole wannabe manager guy that I'm pretty sure fact checked me and dug up dirt on me and shared it with the other managers, which is whatever they could of brought it up with me but it would of exposed them for being two-faced rattexes.
It's not even the fact that they fact checked me but the fact that they would take such an interest in my personal life and just assume things about me.
they could smeel it on me but wouldn't actually confront me so I'd just drop sick burns all over them, but yeah I've never worked at a place that was so cliquish, at my newest job I went ahead and took some precautions I've never felt like I needed to do before like making strictly a work email. -

I think that if you could be disciplined enough and have your own office area in your place that could work. My friend she works from home and she has a pretty strict routine and seperates her work from her home life and at least during this horrible scamdemic goes and jogs around the neighborhood and then takes the rest of the day off.
But for some people that would be really hard to do. -
