in fact I think the world needs more low-level violence specifically to curb the ability of states, religions and multinational organisations to create high-level violence.

I meant, would you personally have both races exterminated, if it were in your power to accomplish it. Competition implies mastery and conquer as the goal.

good question. I don't ascribe to any particular ideology in that regard.
historically, any time a singular power has defeated all of its major enemies it's eventually fragmented and imploded anyway. I don't think there is an end-goal for humanity; the victors will never be satisfied no matter the spoils. conflict is our nature, our birthright and our curse.
with disparate groups perpetually competing against each other it implies a sort of accelerated natural selection, but I'm not sure the traits that are selected-for will end up being beneficial to humanity as a whole.
