I actually don't think they were white nationalists. At least, not all of them. A good percentage are probably racist on some level. You just have to wait for them to open their mouth about BLM to understand that. Like I've said before, I personally know a dude into QAnon. I have heard him YELL in public about how he would never work for a jedi or Arab because xxxx and me and my 2 other friends were just like "ok".
I've lived in the south have met racists. I don't know how it is in rural Australia, but it's pretty obvious in rural parts here. Even in my own state. People give you a look. They'll stand in your way while looking directly at you instead of moving the 1ft to get out of your way like any normal person does in public. They'll ask things like, "So did your father come here legally?" and then be surprised when I tell them that he did. Like... this is not just shit on TV for me. Some of the cops here are pretty bad too (more in the city). My cousin is actually a cop here and the stories I've heard from him are pretty fucked up. I have family that has gotten the "Sorry, I don't speak Spanish" when they were BORN HERE and WERE SPEAKING ENGLISH.
When I was a kid I saw this lady straight up try to steal money from a Mexican dude at Mcdonalds by not giving him the correct change. He was unable to communicate and my dad had to step in and threaten to call the police on this lady. She was screaming at him about speaking English. He could order his meal and say thank you, idk what else you need at a fast food joint.
Like yeah dude, people don't say 'nigger' in public anymore. They don't put up 'whites only' signs. That doesn't mean there isn't blatant racism going on. It really doesn't take a genius to figure it out. Just because YOU'VE never experienced racism doesn't mean the rest of us haven't. Again, it was only a few decades ago that segregation was legal here. Slavery was legal less than 200 years ago. BUT YEAH DUDE im sure the civil rights movement just worked and fixed everything lmao.
