   It's a lot different now yeah, I ran around the desert for an hour before I realized there was infinite wood in the nether.
   
   I mostly play the snapshots in creative mode but i have tried survival a bit mining in the caves and it feels like the different game. It's not about mining long as tunnels at y-12 anymore, the best ores generate in deep caves and underwater.
   
   and they haven't even added the cave biomes or new boss mob yet.

   to me a "hardcore" minecraft experience is logging on to find your house completely destroyed after spending a week working on it. It never happens when you build it, only after it's finished.
