Because you can't find them anywhere for any price..same with the Ryzen 5 5600x.
Chip shortages etc...I'd normally build my own PC but you just can't find the parts anywhere...I was in in Microcenter last week and a guy was asking one of the sales reps about availability of the RTX 3080 and he just laughed at him.
I ended up getting one from "Ibuypower"...for $1800. with the following in it.
Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, GIGABYTE B550 GAMING X MB, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GPU, 16GB DDR4-3200MHz ADATA RGB RAM, 500GB WD M.2 NVMe SSD + 1TB WD HDD, iBUYPOWER 120mm RGB Liquid Cooler.
Couldn't really build one much cheaper than that..even if you could find the parts. -

Don't see much point when I have my phone that already does it all and a computer if I need to do something more "intense".
