This is a coup: "Secret Bipartisan Campaign"

Bipartisan and democracy just means jedi Power, same way as bipartisan support of Israel in support of democracy is used.

“Every attempt to interfere with the proper outcome of the election was defeated,” says Ian Bassin, co-founder of Protect Democracy, a nonpartisan rule-of-law advocacy group. “But it’s massively important for the country to understand that it didn’t happen accidentally. The system didn’t work magically. Democracy is not self-executing.”

Activists began preparing to reprise the demonstrations if Trump tried to steal the election. “Americans plan widespread protests if Trump interferes with election,” Reuters reported in October, one of many such stories. More than 150 liberal groups, from the Women’s March to the Sierra Club to Color of Change, from Democrats.com to the Democratic Socialists of America, joined the “Protect the Results” coalition.

Democracy won in the end. The will of the people prevailed. But it’s crazy, in retrospect, that this is what it took to put on an election in the United States of America.

“It’s astounding how close we came, how fragile all this really is,” says Timmer, the former Michigan GOP chair. “It’s like when Wile E. Coyote runs off the cliff–if you don’t look down, you don’t fall. Our democracy only survives if we all believe and don’t look down.”

An astonishing article, but not unique, it's in the vein of similar articles that get written about various Latin American and East European pro-American coups/color revolutions. These people certainly have lots of experience in this.

Reading this with a critical eye, and reinterpreting the obvious, in your face lying, it's clear that there was only one acceptable result. When that didn't happen there was an enormous apparatus there to make sure that it did, that involved censorship, vote manipulation and violence.

I haven't read it all yet, but from what I have it links a lot of things together that they'd previously called 'conspiracy theories' and asserts that they were done to 'protect democracy'.

things like intentionally giving the BLM riots a free hand and funding, using 'big tech' to control narratives etc.

It's written the same way the bible is, with the moral exceptionalism. It's fascinating to go into.

It's how these people talk to each other as well, as leaked conversations, eg. from CNN board members, show.

To preserve safety and ensure they couldn’t be blamed for any mayhem, the activist left was “strenuously discouraging counter activity,” Podhorzer texted me the morning of Jan. 6, with a crossed-fingers emoji.

They tell antifa what to do. They had a trick ready for the magapedes on January 6th. It was planned, and they are proud of it.

The rules? You mean your admiralty law and gold fringed flags and 14th corporation registered in delaware?

Yeah, no one cares about that.

How the GOP was intimidated into certifying the detroit vote.

Not that it would have made any difference what they did.

Imagine the conceit "there is no voter fraud in detroit".

At least the article admits the GOP was smart enough to know that they were going to "steal the election".

    Or did they really?

Maybe that's just the author's prejudices?

This is quite a bit more than a light, whether red or green.

This article is an expertly written caravaggio.

come on ya gotta have a higher standard for "investigative journalism" than that.

Also did you actually read thay article/view that website? Its a complete fucking joke, essentially a blog post by a fat neckbearded nobody trying to make a name for himself.

The time article in the OP literally amounts to a bipartisan PAC designed to strengthen faith in democratic institutions and ensure a fair election with high voter turnout designed to counter misinformation and suppression tactics. I know it can be hard to tell two clearly different things from each other sometimes but this is not in any way shape or form anything close to evidence of widespread voter fraud across counties, states and the nation altogether coordinated with perfect precision still undetected months later literally involving every level up to and including the supreme court and vice president. Such a ridiculous narrative it's sad that people fall for it because they like to have something to feel outraged about.

    I mean really, come on

This is why there's never any evidence in court. Every outlandish example as "proof" is easily explained by people who are actually involved in the election process. Any judge, liberal or conservative, can easily see that.

People like Pole, Infinity, Spectral, Soy and Aldra are easily influenced by misinformation yet beat that "brainwashed" and "the media lies" drum the loudest.

I dunno and honestly don't care enough about regional electoral regulations to dig deeper, just thought it was interesting.

In Michigan, voters had until 8 p.m. on Election Day to return absentee ballots. The deadline was for casting ballots, not delivering or counting them.

A sworn affidavit written by Christopher Thomas, the former Michigan Director of Elections who worked at the TCF Center, in response to a lawsuit against the city says that no late-arriving ballots were ever counted.

"No absentee ballots received after the deadline of 8 p.m. on November 3, 2020, were received by or processed at the TCF Center. Only ballots received by the deadline were processed," Thomas wrote.

    seems rather contradictory no?

The time article in the OP literally amounts to a bipartisan PAC designed to strengthen faith in democratic institutions and ensure a fair election with high voter turnout designed to counter misinformation and suppression tactics.

That is what they claim, but in reality the (intentional) effect is to quash political movements that fall outside of the status quo that they, the 'political elite' are comfortable with. For example - what would be the purpose of co-ordinating 'protests' (in many cases - see violent riots) with 'big tech' if not to suppress right-wing organisation and movement?

I know it can be hard to tell two clearly different things from each other sometimes but this is not in any way shape or form anything close to evidence of widespread voter fraud across counties, states and the nation altogether coordinated with perfect precision still undetected months later literally involving every level up to and including the supreme court and vice president. I'm not talking about fraud in the sense of intentionally miscounting ballots, hacking voting hardware or whatever - this is evidence of the establishment acting in unison to attack any potential challenge to its power. It's not explicitly left vs. right, or democracy vs. 'populism' (what a ridiculous word) or 'fascism', it's simply old sources of power crushing new sources of power.

I guess if "the establishment" can be construed to be "anyone with an active interest in politics" then they banded together to make an election happen in what they believed was the best way possible. It's "power" is America as an idea and its democratic institutions.

What are "new sources of power?" Donald Trump? The influence of fake news on the gullible? Trump did his best to dismantle American institutions to suit his political ends, should that be ok just because its "new?"

America is a country founded on principles by founding fathers who were they alive, would likely challenge Trump to a duel that he would refuse because he is a coward with "bone spurs." America is supposed to be better than one person or one movement or one period of time. A bunch of people and groups got together to mobilize the democratic process while the elected president did his best to suppress voting and cast doubt on the process because he knew there was a distinct chance of him losing. Do you think there is ANY scenario where Trump loses gracefully? Nobody who knows him personally would ever expect him to.

I guess what I'm saying is this is great fodder for the conspiracy minded because they see organizations trying to preserve an elections integrity and although they all likely have an agenda, THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT THIS THAT IS ABOUT VOTER FRAUD. If anything its a team of check and balance players to ensure greater transparency. I know its super scary that they aren't absolute amatuers and coordinated their thinking together to ensure a smoother election than many predicted. There is still absolutely unequivocally zero evidence of widespread voter fraud or anything even close to it. These are the people you can thank

'The establishment' is the group of people where wealth and power is currently, and has been for a long time, concentrated. We're talking about the Military-Industrial Complex, core financial institutions, the israel lobby, the political class proper and I guess more recently, 'Big Tech'. The people who hold the reigns and don't want to let go.

Why do you think Donald Trump was voted in? 'Lesser of two evils' aside, people were sick of the uniparty. They bicker about things like gay marriage and tranny bathrooms but offer bilateral support to endless wars, 'foreign aid', wealth transfer away from the middle class, endless immigration etc.

What principles? The US was founded, essentially, as a libertarian frontier and most of the founding documents were meant to empower white colonists against the threat of British control - they were never actually meant to apply to niggers, injuns or chinese railway workers.
