Hey can any of you nerds help me fix my tv?

   I plug my lappy into use my tv toshiba as a stereo / play games but hdmi one on the side (hdmi3) works best for me but it wont work the other ports (on the back side hdm 1 and 2 work but the screen is stretch just a lil too much like I can't see the scroll bar on the tv and I the top and bottom icons like the links are cut in half i guess I might need a new tv this one was given to me but I'm
   trying to learn how to salvage, like my lyfe..
   
   I looked up how to fix it online but I really don't want to take my tv apart I'd probably break it, if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
   
   see its cut off on the edges just slightly all around, you cant see the scroll bar , its hidden just enough
