the concept of it being advantageous is that it doesn't have a port to wear down every time you plug the piece of shit in and pull it out. Kind of like wearing down your mothers vagina that all of us have done many times over.
the other option is to have a magnetic port plugin stay inside the phone all the time and use a magnet chord to attach to it and pull off without ever having to wear down the porthole. but people found out it rubbed on the porthole like your moms on shore leave for 1000 sailors and wore out anyways
so this was the new concept.
