Lowest bit rate you've encoded to that achieved transparency

   In the past when I had a working amp/receiver and would use my hd650s it seemed like I could go no lower than v0.
   Right now I'm doing some abx tests to see how low I can go.

   it wasnt a very complex song, thats why. i used regular headphones.
   
   which AAC codec are you testing? i suggest you test multiple implementations.
   
   i personally cant wait for XHE AAC to mature, its been too damn long.
