Seriously. The MAGA/QAnon base has deluded itself into thinking that gas prices are going to go up because of this. I keep seeing the $5 a gallon number thrown around. "Remember Obama?" These people have no fucking concept of macro economics. They just see job lost = bad. Fuck the environment amirite?
You know what the President is doing for AMERICAN citizens? Not Canadians?
He's raising the minimum wage
He's giving out stimulus checks
He's raising corporate tax
He's extending unemployment insurance
Giving people 14 days of paid sick leave if they catch COVID
Giving schools money to re-open

I mean if your job is destructive to the world, I'm not gonna be upset about you losing it. Not like Biden took away jobs from solar panel installers. He did this for a good reason. The economy will be fine without one more dumb pipeline. We won't need any of it eventually and the sooner we move towards that, the better off humanity will be. Most people don't realize that electric cars were made before gas powered ones, and that they're only popular now because we've finally gotten batteries to be efficient enough to make it viable.
People actually used to prefer them in cities because they were much easier to maintain and had a button start. Plus a lot quieter, even in the early 1900s. -

Gas prices will go up under Biden. It will be due to the laws of supply and demand. Biden will actually manage the Covid vaccine distribution to get the cure into people's arms which will end up with people returning to normal lives and driving more.
